Women use shopping as therapy at times, but is it really? I love to shop for my children, me & even my dog sometimes. Having a bad day? Got a few bucks to spend? Let’s go shopping! **laughs** Then when the next bill comes in the mail I look down at those new shoes and wonder was it really worth it. I justify my crazy spending habits by saying this “I deserve this”! How many of you say the same thing? Yes, I know it makes you feel better for the moment. The problem is if you tell yourself that too often you may be drowning in debt!
Now, let me say this I always shop sales ,because with four growing kids (3 are teenage girls), you just have to! Yet, Sales can be a curse…too many times I shop just because it says “SALE”. Even my teenage daughters now save their allowances for the next sale. *giggles* Unfortunately, I think I have passed down my habit to my girls now! They love to go on mini shopping sprees. For a while I was just enjoying the moment of being able to afford to shop. Catch the story of how we struggled in another blog but times were really hard for us about 2 years ago.Things are more stable and I have become quite the shopper, just give me a reason or any occasion! *cringes face*
Shopping for Relief: It’s great to shop but you know sometimes it’s best just to window shop! Some people says I have to buy something if I go to the mall. So here’s what you do buy something very small and do a lot of looking. Walking through the mall & laughing at some of the things people wear and do there is humorous. Enjoy the time out and at the end of the day you are relieved and don’t have to regret going into debt doing it!
