Seems like everyone has the best diet or the best pill to take to lose weight! Most of it require you to do work which proves that dieting nor these pills and shakes just doesn’t work. Let me say this-yes, some of the pills or shakes may help suppress your appetite but are you going to do the for the rest of your life? Doubt that. So what I have been trying to do is change my lifestyle of eating in a way that I won’t go crazy.
I recently found out that my blood is dangerously low so I am trying to be sure I am eating foods that will help me build my blood. So originally I did a 7-day detox and lost about 4lbs. I felt better energy wise but not sure if I replaced all the things I wiped out with the cleanse and I am referring to the things that we need. Be careful with these detox programs.
The best thing I have been doing is trying to drink a glass of water behind every meal and snack. Yes, I have been trying to drink 8 ounces with everything I eat! This was helping me out tremendously. I now walk between 2-4 miles a day at least 5 days a week. Also, I been trying to add lots of fiber to my diet. Raisin Bran has been my morning breakfast and for some odd reason I think having milk in my cereal has been also helping my nails too. occasionally I might do a few exercises at home with my small weights. Being consistent is what counts the most though. So I think my walking and drinking water has been good for me. My body is toning and my nails are stronger and growing and skin is clearing up again. Instead of doing slim fast or all these commercial shakes I make my own smoothie some mornings before work. I add fresh fruits and yogurt. Mostly Activia yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, a banana (always) and ice. Sometimes I add a cup of milk to my smoothie and then I drink my 8 ounces of water shortly after.
Now here’s my confession…I fell off for a week or two, not completely but I cheated way too often. You’re allowed one cheat day a week but when you cheat a little every day that’s bad! LOL! Therefore, I am going back to my plan of eating healthier. Oh by the way I have not gained any weight and feel like I’ve lost inches in my clothing. I don’t weigh myself as I often as I should. I don’t starve myself. I eat breakfast, lunch & dinner. I try to only eat one heavy meal a day though and when I say heavy I mean like smaller portions but things I really like such as baked chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Alright so I’ll keep you guys posted.
All suggestions and comments are welcome as usual!
