I’m addicted to a virtual game called IMVU. You set up an account with an avatar that best fits you or whatever you want to look like. You make a simple profile and you go out to clubs and parties and have private chats but here you can do more than a simple chat because it’s so animated. You can dance, really dance you can cyber sex (which I don’t do), you can play music, design homes and so on! It’s just another world. And I was thinking I guess this could be a form of online dating, since I do know of a few people who has actually met up with people in real life, some has even gotten married.
I have an entire family on this game. My dad is like one of my closest friends, sounds weird right? Well this man gives me great male advice and he is really a good person. I started on this system in 2008! I was going through a divorce and instead of going out and being a whore I was online living a second life of fantasy, nothing sexual just a distraction from all the hurt and pain that was offline. I love this game it’s free for the most part and it’s always lots of people online. Oh and let’s not forget the games. Yup, they have games too. Try it…

Not to break up the party you two are having here, lol, but nah Serenity this isn’t online dating. This is like an online version of the Sims with other people. I mean sure people can hook up from it, but that doesn’t seem like the purpose of this. It seems like more of just an escape from the real world.
Online dating pretty much is direct with it’s purpose – create a profile, meet people through messaging, and keep doing it over and over until you meet someone. I’ll check out the link though…
